I disagree and I'll use this quote to make my point.

"I would rather get away from that whole idea of clocks. We all want progress. But progress means getting nearer to the place where you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turning, then to go forward does not get you any nearer. If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; and in that case the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive ... [and] going back is the quickest way on." C.S. Lewis

I Love You, You Love Me...

2006 Elections Erik Thompson becomes number 13. Sheesh, you go up north for a weekend and the DFL field has swelled just like I do each winter when I stop riding my bike. The official CD-5 DFL site only lists five of these candidates though. I have to update my only list on the left sidebar. If you read the linked article you will see that Erik lives in a world that seems to resemble one more like what you would see on the Teletubbies or Barney, rather than what CD-5 really looks like. Of course, I have never been to Milan, MN and maybe life is different there and everybody loves each other just like Barney says. All you need to see is comments like this to see Erik has no concept of how much pull inside the DFL you will need to win this seat.

The new candidate said he will accept no more than $10 from any contributor. "If I can't get 30,000 to send me $10, I obviously don't have the support necessary to claim victory," he said.
