Change Up North
World In a first for me, I find myself watching election returns in Canada. It looks very likely that the conservatives will hold the majority and the next Prime Minister of Canada will be a conservative. The CBC feed is on C-SPAN and right now the conservatives are projected to have 100 seats to the liberals 84. It is still early, but I will update this post later. UPDATE: As of 11:50 p.m. the Conservative Party of Canada had 124 seats, Liberal Party of Canada 103, Bloc Québécois 51, New Democratic Party 29 and 1 Independent, so now the new Prime Minister will be a man named Stephen Harper. The last time the Conservatives held this position was in 1993. The Captain has more.
